In my experience as both an athlete and a coach, I've found that grit is the most under-valued, yet powerful trait we can possess.

 

When I was competing in college, I was never the fastest or the strongest athlete on the starting line. But I was almost always the grittiest. What I lacked in natural talent, I made up for in my ability to endure. When you've got nothing else to lean on, being gritty will carry you through. 


Grit in Motion is personal training for athletes, weekend warriors, first-time fitness enthusiasts, and anyone with the courage to push the limits and transform their body and mind to become the strongest, healthiest, and grittiest version of themselves.

I grew up as 3-sport athlete before going on to run D1 cross country and track & field at the University of Vermont. I received my B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics and later my M.S. in Physical Activity and Wellness. After college, I got into strength-training as a way to heal my body and continue to challenge myself to become the strongest version of myself. I knew I wanted to help other people unlock their inner athlete and pursue their individual health and fitness goals.
